We decided to sell our beloved first apartment. A tough decision to say the least.
We're hoping to become home owners in the not too distant future and this seemed like the right time to sell even though we're not actively looking for a house. There are several contributing factors for selling, some of those being that we found a rental apartment (which are very hard to come by), May is a good time to sell, and a law requiring homeowners to pay off a certain percentage of their loans is coming into the play at the beginning of June.
Although we would have loved living in 'The Dala Palace' for the foreseeable future, we decided to follow our heads instead of our hearts and make a return on our investment. Renting gives us more flexibility when moving (apartment rentals in Sweden have a 3 month notice, rather than year contracts).
We'll miss you Dalapalatset!
