I've written a little bit about surströmming, aka fermented herring, and I felt the need to share my photographic experience with this Swedish delicacy. I ate it as it's most commonly served in flat bread with cooked potatoes, onions, and sour cream. The absolute worst part about this is the wretched smell that takes over all senses once the can is opened. It simply screams don't eat me, although the actual taste itself isn't bad.
