We went to see the Gävle Symphony Orchestra play music for Turandot in Dalhalla! Dalhalla, as you can see, is an old mine transformed in the most magical of stages. Just going there is an experience in itself. The towering rock wall behind the stage is used for special effects lighting and really adds to the drama. I'll be looking forward to our next concert there!
Rättvik is the town just outside of Dalhalla and my favorite swimming spot in all of Sweden, thus far at least. The water is crystal clear, the sand oh so soft, and it's quite shallow for a long way out. Best of all, there are no scary animals in the water!
